Exterior:

The White exterior of this 250SL is in excellent driver-quality condition. The paint has a dazzling gloss with a nice shine. The chrome bumpers are in excellent shape, showcasing a brilliant finish. The wheels and hubcaps are well-maintained with no major curb rash. The tires are almost brand new, with plenty of tread remaining, sized 195/75R14. While there are no major blemishes intentionally excluded from the photos, a few tiny imperfections and hazy spots are present but are not noticeable from about five feet away. This car was just repainted and would benefit from some wet sanding and buffing for an even slicker finish. The car has undergone some rust repair in the rockers, and the convertible top looks wonderful with no holes, frayed edges, and a clean rear window without scratches or yellowing.

Interior:

The black leather interior is in great condition. The gauge faces are crisp and clean, and the chrome and brightwork inside the car also look excellent. The dashboard has no cracks, fading, or sun damage. The seats appear as nice in person as they do in the photos, with no split seams, rips, or holes. The seat bolster shows minimal wear, a common issue in many vehicles, but not excessively. The carpet appears to be original and is in good condition, though slightly faded. There are no significant stains, rips, or holes. The door panels are also in excellent condition. The car has not been smoked in, so there are no burn marks or odors of any kind.

The trunk is clean, highly detailed, and well-trimmed, including a full-size spare tire and jack.

Mechanical:

This Mercedes 250SL is in good mechanical condition and was recently serviced. The inline-six engine starts every time, runs smoothly, and idles without issue. The car drives very nicely on the road, even at highway speeds. In the video below, you can observe the car accelerating to around 50 mph, braking to a stoplight, and going through curves. There are no noticeable vibrations, and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side, while the transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band. The gauges show that the engine maintains excellent oil pressure and does not overheat.

The horn works, as do the exterior lights, dash lights, indicators, and the blower for the air conditioning. The A/C system seems to function as the compressor engages properly, but it is difficult to assess the cooling efficiency due to the current temperatures. All gauges work except for the clock. We have not been able to get the blower for the heater to turn on, and the wipers work but may need adjustment as the blades are making contact with each other.

Though the car has been used sparingly since servicing, there may be some additional adjustments or tweaks to make if it is put into regular use. We encourage any prospective buyer to view the car in person to fully appreciate its condition. The engine compartment is clean and correct, as seen in the photos.
